Every generation rediscovers and re-evaluates the meaning of infancy and childhood. – Arnold Gessell
We all know parenting is a tough job. Always has been, always will be. High demands on your resources. Little training. Sometimes you question the return on your investments, but then you see the smiles and get a show of affection and appreciation from little hands and hearts, and you know it’s worth all the challenges and questions. It is the most important job we have as individuals, families and a culture.
Help me understand what questions you have or what resources you turn to for those tricky moments.
- What about child development intrigues or puzzles you?
- What keeps you awake at night?
- Who helps you understand the little people in your life?
- What do you read/who do you bounce ideas off of?
- What would help make your job a bit easier/less stressful/more fun?
Take the survey (listed to the right or cut and paste this link – http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=3Wv_2ffaWjOMdXIjqYrvTTwg_3d_3d.) The survey will be open until September and one lucky respondent will receive an American Express gift card. Thanks to all who have already responded and those of you who have added it to your “to-do” list!
Please also consider spreading the word by sending the link or the blog onto other parents you know. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences and thoughts. It will help me to a better job doing what I do, which hopefully, will help you do a better job at what you do. Win-win!
Stay tuned – or subscribe to the blog if you are not already – to see how this data drives future writing to deepen understanding on child development and parenting!
Have a fabulous first week of August!
